Practicing Indoors

Indoors it's easier to get a real feel for the snow conditions on a sloping slope, in a controlled environment. A warm dry environment and good soundproofing means you can ski and snowboard inside your own home. Practice at home Indoor snowboarding means you have the comfort and convenience of not having to prepare your board. Just set up your snowboard and your board stands and just put on your snow clothes, you’re ready to go. No harnesses to attach to your boots, no packing, no cold fingers, and no sticks to cut corners. You can focus on skiing instead of actually being out in the snow! Competition Atmosphere A competitive environment makes snowboarding really fun. Going against others and getting a laugh at their ski technique is a great way to relax and have fun.

Be Prepared for the Season

Regardless of the date your first lesson is booked, you must have visited the Snow Leopard Centre and gone through all of the safety checks and prerequisites before you are allowed to visit the alpine centre. This includes safety equipment, including a helmet, goggles, soft hat and a sturdy walking stick. It is essential to be fully fit, especially when you have an interest in skiing or snowboarding and all activities are timed to ensure you get the most out of your lesson. Snow Leopard's Coaches, including our qualified Head Coaches, have all completed both the SNASP and all Scottish Ski Instructor Qualification qualifications, as well as lots of other ski and snowboard training to ensure you come away with an impressive level of knowledge of your chosen sport.
